CRIEI organises annual workshops bringing together academic, enforcement, regulatory, policy and professional communities working in competition, regulation and industrial economics.
Hosted in UCD, the workshops include international keynote speakers, academic research presentations, policy-focused discussions and practitioner perspectives. They are designed to support dialogue, collaboration and knowledge exchange across research, policy and practice.
CRIEI workshops welcome participation from universities, regulatory authorities, government bodies, consultancies, industry and other organisations with an interest in competition, regulation and industrial economics.

The Second CRIEI Annual Workshop on Competition and Regulation Economics brought together researchers, regulators and enforcers, policymakers and practitioners from Ireland and abroad to discuss some of the most pressing issues in competition and regulation economics.
Jointly sponsored by the UCD School of Economics, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), and Frontier Economics, the workshop attracted strong participation from across the academic, policy, enforcement and practitioner communities.
This year's keynote speakers were Prof. Joseph Harrington (University of Pennsylvania), Prof. Chiara Fumagalli (Bocconi University), and Prof. Maarten-Pieter Schinkel (University of Amsterdam). The programme also featured academic presentations in addition to expert panel discussions on competition remedies and on cartels.

The inaugural Workshop on Competition and Regulation Economics brought together participants from across the academic, regulatory, policy and professional communities to discuss contemporary issues in competition economics and policy.
Jointly sponsored by he UCD School of Economics, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), and the Irish Economics Association (IEA) , the workshop attracted strong participation from across the academic, policy, enforcement and practitioner communities.
International keynote lectures were delivered by Nicolas de Roos (University of Liverpool), Tommaso Valletti (Imperial College London), and Geza Sapi (European Commission). Alongside academic presentations, the workshop featured a trio of expert panel sessions, each tackling a critical theme in contemporary competition policy.
